Just when you thought that nothing can be better than travelling to Cape Town and getting to the top of Table Mountain, one of the New 7 Wonders of the Natural World, the good people of our Ariel Cableway managed to add another wow factor to your experience: a Very High Tea.

Aligning with the best offerings and hospitality traditions in Cape Town hotels, the high tea setting is an array of 10 treats, savory & sweet. It is a selection of Cape Malay inspired dishes perfected in taste and downscaled to suit the occasion. Sophisticatedly ticking two bucket list boxes for any tutored traveller.

The full menu includes Salmon Trout Pannequet, Ostrich Crostini, Mini Lamb Yorky, Lentil Bobotie Bite, Chicken Kebab Roll, Gazpacho Prawn Shooter, Blue Cheese and Pickled Pear Puff, Lemon Meringue Tartlet, Peanut Butter Brownie Cheesecake and Milk Tart Cigar.

The accompanying drinks will complete this odd celebration. Expect a glass of MCC on arrival, a selection of Twinings teas, a selection of coffees and mineral water.

The high tea is hosted in the Cableway Wi-Fi Lounge, a trendy venue offering free Wi-Fi access at the summit of Table Mountain, a panoramic view over the bay and elevated just above the viewing verandahs so you can instantly share this amazing experience with the world.

Available Monday to Sunday and subject to pre-booking. Served between 14:30- 17:30 at a cost of R325 per person. Caters for 20 people per high tea seating. Please make your reservation with Taryn Skuce at functions@tablemountain.net – to secure your seat.

City Sightseeing buses will get you to the lower cableway station and it is well advised to book your tickets for both the bus and the cableway online in order to avoid the queues.
