In the Winelands

There are hundreds of wine estates in the Cape Winelands, offering event facilities with stunning locations and vineyard views. It requires an additional effort to combine it all and achieve the extraordinary. Vrede en Lust, on the border of Franschhoek and Paarl wine routes is one of such.

The old Manor House and a line of historic cottages were delicately restored to perfection and glamour. They are joined by a collection of newly built accommodation and formal gardens, with the historic cellar restored to be the celebration venue.

This is one of a few wine estates with its own Franschhoek Wine Tram platform. The bistro and bakery on the estate is responsible for the catering.

Your Own Private Fairy Tale

After taking over the Quoin Rock Wine Estate in Stellenbosch a few years ago, the new owners re-invented this property.

The old Manor House with its adjacent buildings- stables and staff rooms, form a restored complex brought to a pristine colonial glamour. It is rented only as a whole and doesn’t come short of any luxury you could possibly imagine.

The newer front of the estate is a modern glass, double storey celling space, wrapped with landscapes and a sculpture garden to match. The innovative, fine dining restaurant compliments the entire offering.
