HOT CHOCOLATE RUN

Northern Suburbs

50% Run, 50% Festival What - 5km or longer fun run with chocolate festival afterwards. Who - Everyone is invited! Men, women and children are welcome. Non-runners pay a spectator fee and can join in the fun at the festival! Start Time: Longer run starts at 8:50am 5km starts at 9:00am 5km is not timed What's included? Running tickets: include access to the 5km or long run course, a Hot Chocolate Run Mug at the finish (filled with delicious hot chocolate of course!) and a bowl of fruit and biscuits with complimentary dipping chocolate for your enjoyment (1 per person). There will also be chocolate and coffee vendors offering free samples, music and fun! Helderberg Full Moon Walk

Helderberg Nature Reserve

Take a full moon walk at Helderberg Nature Reserve on May 1st from 6 PM until 10 PM. All night walks last +- 3hrs, are in the lower area of the reserve and not strenuous. Full Moon Picnic At The Afrikaans Taalmonument

Full Moon Picnics at the Akrikaanse Taalmonument are very popular with local residents and tourists alike, who especially enjoy the sunsets and incredible night scenes.   Visitors can come anytime between 17:00 and 22:00, and have a look at the monument, which is an exceptional, symbol-rich sculpture. Visitors are also encouraged to explore, and there are outdoor games and playgrounds for children.   Guests are welcome to bring their own picnic baskets or pre-order one from the Oppi Berg Mobile Café on 060 382 9938 (R250 per couple, R450 per family of four). Dress warmly and bring a torch, and a mask. See www.taalmuseum.co.za/covid-19/ for the specific protocols.   Tickets are R40 per adult, R10 for SA students and R5 for children (free under six years). They are available from Computicket or at the gate, and no booking is required.   Annual permits are available at R120 for individuals or R220 per family (currently offered at a 20%-discount), which includes access to all Full Moon Picnics. The evenings are held in aid of ‘Let’s Read!’, the Language Museum’s literacy project for children, and visitors are encouraged to donate a new or second-hand children’s book.   The next Full Moon picnics is on 27 March 2021.
