Cape Town’s favourite public arts festival returns from 18-24 November this year, transforming the city’s communal spaces into spectacular outdoor entertainment venues showcasing an array of provocative and spectacular art forms.

Hosted by the Institute for Creative Arts (ICA) in association with the Africa Centre, this year’s diverse programme boasts top South African and African artists from Cape Town, Durban, Johannesburg, Eastern Cape, Zimbabwe and Namibia, who will be joined by international acts from the Netherlands, France and Switzerland. From vertical dancers on city walls to performance activity in parked cars, ITC 2019 will activate city spaces from the Castle to the Station, the Adderley Fountain to the Company’s Gardens and beyond.

Public places for performances to be spotted are all around the city center. Pay attention to places like Golden Acre Inner Court, Hiding Campus (entrance Orange/ Rheede Street, The Slave Lodge/ The Arch/ Government Avenue, Corner of Roeland & Plein streets, Castle of Good Hope, Longmarket Street, Church Square and Thibault Square.
