Cape Town Met 2021

The Cape Town Met takes place at Kenilworth Racecourse on Saturday 30 January 2021, while they are racing behind closed doors the entire event will be live streamed uninterrupted at http://www.caperacing.co.za , Best Dressed Man and Woman Competition The annual Cape Town Met, presented by Cape Racing will be behind closed doors this year, but we are still bringing the vibe! The best dressed man and woman competition is happening a little differently this year, but the prizes that are up for grabs make it worth it! So how does it work: You enjoy the races at home, dressed in the theme and tag us in your pictures on Facebook and Instagram with the #CTMet #Afropolitan #Maskeradeball - show us what #Afropolitan #Maskeradeball means to you and you could win loads of awesome prizes. WINNERS will be announced at 17:15 on the live feed and via Cape Racing social media. Kenilworth Racecourse L'Ormarins Queen's Plate Racing Festival, 10 & 11 Jan The oldest horse racing event in South Africa bearing international significance. The winner of the L’Ormarins Queen’s Plate Race gains automatic entry for America’s biggest raceday, the Breeder’s Cup. Both ladies and gentlemen are required to dress in a manner appropriate to a smart occasion adhering to the dress code of blue and white. Outfits should be elegant. Best dressed for both men and women as well as best hat competitions are taking place on both days.   Sun Met, 1 February Dress to impress, and spend a day at the races, rubbing shoulders with the who’s who. From the ponies and the punters to the fillies and fashionistas. Join Visionaries Bonang Matheba, Miss SA Zozi Tunzi, designer Palesa Mokubung and DJ Black Coffee at The Sun Met 2020. Expect glamour, the thrill of a horse race, fashion and great entertainment.

WSB Cape Fillies Guineas, 14 December The World Sports Betting Grade 1 Fillies Guineas and Cape Guineas are the features on the day. These are the first alternate legs to the Triple Crown & Tiara series taking place on the Highveld. Added to the exciting races, the event offers a last minute Christmas Market, kids’ entertainment and prizes to be won by spectators and visitors.
