First Thursday
Due to the current lockdown restrictions, First Thursdays will take place on 7 January with a limited programme. First Thursday encourage the public to view current exhibitions during regular opening hours. Deepest Darkest presents a new group exhibition, appropriately titled 'WTF?!'. 20 Dixon Street, De Waterkant THK Gallery is open with their current exhibition 'Reflect. Reimagine. Reset.'. 52 Waterkant Street. Worldart is showing their latest Summer Exhibition. 54 Church Street. Along with a range of current exhibitions, The Association for Visual Arts Gallery launches their new podcast series, 'Lounge+'. 35 Church Street. Other galleries like The Cape Gallery and Eclectica Contemporary are open during regular hours, with some great new exhibitions that are highly recommend checking out. And lastly, while they close a bit earlier at 4pm, Mochi Mochi is a pop-up Japanese confection spot that you should definitely know about. 161 Longmarket Street.
