Cape Town Pride

Pride provides a platform for every part of Cape Town’s LGBT+ community (lesbian, gay, bisexual, trans*, queer, questioning, intersex, non-binary, asexual, polysexual, genderqueer and gender variant people) to raise awareness of issues and campaign for the freedoms that will allow them to live their lives on a genuinely equal footing. The annual parade through the heart of the CBD gives a chance to be visible and speak loudly to the rest of the city about what the community  has achieved, how far they’ve have come and what is still needed. The Parade and Mardi Gras is the culmination of the 10 day Cape Town Pride festival! The venue this years is Reddam Field at Green Point Urban Park in Green Point. With floats, live acts, food, drinks and many more activations to ensnare the senses.
