The South African National Dance Trust is thrilled to announce the news of an inspiring and uplifting production. A program of short, joyful works by renowned South African choreographers, Veronica Paeper, Sean Bovim and Adele Blank.  This project has been especially created by SANDT to support and provide a professional opportunity to independent dancers, choreographers and theatre practitioners.  We look forward to sharing this wonderful evening of dance with you.  Tickets available from Computicket and Theatre on The Bay (R180 - R250).

Apocalaughs Now!

Theatre On The Bay is THRILLED to announce that Alan Committie is back in his brand-new year-end stand-up show: Apocalaughs Now! until 16 January 2021.   It’s been the wildest year yet with the most unexpected and crazy pandemic turning our existence inside out, and upside down. However, renowned funnyman Alan Committie is determined that we keep laughing in the face of it all. So, join him in his latest solo stand-up show which re-opens Theatre on the Bay this festive season.   Global lockdown, earthquakes in Plumstead, cigarette and alcohol bans, Cricket South Africa out for a duck, Trumpeting leaders blowing hot air and the only response we have had so far is to dance the Jerusalema (which is how drunk people pronounce Julius Malema after 2am in the morning). But now Committie explores how we can stay sane and healthy in body, mind and soul with his usual madcap verbal wit and physical comedy shenanigans.   Our intrepid jester tries to understand wellness coaches, explores the world of Tik-Tok videos, unpacks how we thought the world would end versus how it’s actually happening and may or may not have found the missing R500 billion promised to the nation!   So, book now for the limited 6 week run at the most scenic theatre in South Africa.
