Lifecycle Week

With the 42nd running of its world-famous cycling tour as its crescendo, the Cape Town Cycle Tour Lifecycle Week is an eight-day celebration of all things cycling, where a world-famous city embraces human power and celebrates the healthy lifestyle and freedom of movement the humble bicycle offers all its inhabitants and visitors. The Lifecycle Week kicks off with the Junior Tour, held on the Sunday. This future-star event is hosted in the Cape Town Stadium Precinct, in the shadow of Table Mountain, which is also the venue for the registration process each entrant must follow to collect their race number for Sunday’s main event, before taking in South Africa’s biggest cycling exhibition, the Cape Town Cycle Tour Expo. Cape Town Cricket Sixes

While 6’s Cricket is the core sport, the festival also includes a 6 a side Football league and this year they have added Touch Rugby and Tag Rugby leagues to the event. The 5th annual festival features several leagues for all levels of competitiveness. They run a women and juniors league and the CSR arm “Hit Poverty for a Six” facilitates workshops and coaching sessions to disadvantaged youth at the festival and throughout the year.
