In recent years Cape Town is experiencing a blossom of weekend markets. They function as a pantry stocking place for fresh products and local crafts from talented citizen and as a favorite social gathering for young urbanists and families.
Having an abundance of food stalls that cater for any taste and diet, being freed from the time limitation in a restaurant, the secured environment and the long tables in almost every site, brings back the ancient concept in which friends and neighbors mingle with visitors from close and far, sharing a shaded seat and exchanging words for a few hours.
