The Cape’s Secret Season constantly offers unexpected surprises from mogul chefs and iconic wine estates. This month we are happy to share with you that Grande Provence Heritage Wine Estate in Franschhoek offers a winter gesture for its diners: a wide range of small plate options of some of Chef Guy Bennett’s most popular dishes.

Choose any combination of three plates from grilled linefish, a warm goat cheese salad, spiced crispy squid, low & slow beef short rib, a creamy risotto with pancetta, soy braised pork, artisanal cheeses, as well as a dark chocolate fondant to hit your sweet spot. Your trio of small plates is accompanied by a tasting glass of Grande Provence wine.

This menu, served from 15:00 to 19:00 daily, offers locals and visitors a taste of the stunning Grande Provence winter specials and is ideal for wrapping up a day in the valley.

For those who look for a more comprehensive dining experience, Chef Guy recommends to add to the small plates menu a few extras such as freshly shucked oysters or dreamy desserts.

Chef Guy and his team love playing with their food and change their dishes constantly by incorporating new ingredients and produce that become available as the seasons change so variations to the menu above are more than likely to occur.
