Sunset Restaurant’s friendly staff will kick-start your culinary journey, with a careful selection of artisanal local gins, infused with Africa’s unique myriad of botanicals that abounds the surrounding Cape’s oceans, mountains and forests. Expect flavours such as the hugely popular Fynbos, Rooibos, Cape Malay Spice, as well as traditional cucumber and citrus.

Outgoing and always ready to share their knowledge and recommendations, staff will also add a few surprises with suggestions from the Brandy trolley of Award-winning Cape brandies, which can be enjoyed in the relaxed environment of Sunset Restaurant or Faces Bar & Lounge. 100% produced from grapes grown in the Cape Wine Regions, double pot distilled and aged in oak casks for a minimum of three years, their Brandy selection is amongst the world’s best.

It is the intention of The Peninsula All-Suite Hotel to showcase all local spirits and liqueurs in the Faces Bar, the perfect meeting place before and after dinner on these chilly winter evenings.

The unique experience of taste sensations are echoed in Sunset Restaurant’s cosmopolitan three-course menu, led by Head Chef Hajiera Hamit, which is inspired by international methods and celebrates the Cape’s fresh produce.

In addition, Sunset Restaurant’s dessert trolley will no doubt add the cherry on the cake, when your hosting staff flames up an order of crepe Suzettes – best served the traditional way and served with a dollop of ice cream.
