Explore Robertson’s picturesque Wine Route
The Robertson Wine Valley association was formed in 1983 to cohesively improve the local wine industry, promote the valley as a tourism destination and uplift the community. Today they proudly represent over 50 wineries and tourism establishments from the towns; Ashton, Bonnievale, McGregor and Robertson. The beautiful valley is situated a merely 2 hour scenic drive from Cape Town on the renowned Route 62 and nestled between the majestic Langeberg and Riviersonderend mountain ranges with the graceful Breede River running through the valley. Members are united in their passion to create the most memorable wine and food tourism experiences hosted by our unique, authentic country-charm hospitality.
Robertson is a clean, tree-lined town, well known for its roses and gardens, with all the amenities of a much larger town and the added bonus of it’s historical wine routes.
The Robertson Wine Route includes wineries from Ashton, Bonnievale, McGregor and Robertson which bring visitors the most memorable wine tourism experiences, notably their renowned wine festivals: Wacky Wine Weekend in June (www.wackywineweekend.com), Robertson Slow in August (www.robertsonslow.com) and Robertson Wine on the River in October (www.wineonriver.com).
