The Lady Day Big Band presents The South African Songbook

The Lady Day Big Band founded by Lana Crowster (lead vocalist) and co-founders Amanda Tiffin (conductor) and Kelly Bell (trombonist) is South Africa’s first professional all woman big band. Their South African Songbook will showcase the versatility and showmanship of this talented group by merging traditional Jazz and Swing favourites with contemporary South African hits, sure to get your feet tapping.

Boogie Woogie Blues Jazz with Silvan Zingg and Cat Simoni

Silvan Zingg’s unique Boogie Woogie piano style is characterized by a great portion of swing and blues performed with passion, lightness and brilliant quality.

Visiting Cape Town for the first time, Silvan will be accompanied by the outstanding talents of bassist Marc Duby and drummer Anthony Yoko, playing selections from his 5 star album ‘Boogie Woogie Triology’ and a host of other great blues based tunes.

But that’s not all. Silvan’s special guest for the concert at The Oude Libertas Amphitheatre, includes the fabulous voice of cabaret entertainer Ms. Cat Simoni, adding a touch of glamour and pizazz to what promises to be an exciting, finger- snapping and foot-stomping concert.

The First Lady of Song is still widely remembered every day through her prolific discography that brings joy to millions of jazz fan all over the world.
