BALANCING YOUR VACATION

BALANCING YOUR VACATION

A free Park or Winelands run

For some of us, no matter where you travel, making the most of a holiday means putting on those great tracks, lacing up to shoes and hitting the ground. If this is your pleasure, Parkrun – a provincial initiative – organises free weekly 5km timed runs around the world. They are open to everyone and are safe and easy to take part in. Every Saturday morning at 8am sharp, you can join likeminded folk for short, safe, well organized runs in the open air.

These events take place in pleasant parkland surroundings and they encourage people of every ability to take part; from walkers or those taking their first steps in running to Olympians; from juniors to those with more experience; all are welcome to join.

Visit www.parkrun.co.za for detailed information about each of the locations. You can simply show up but if you sign up in advance your time will be officially recorded.
